In another significant development in the cooperative sector following the co-option of Pradeep Chaudhary to the IFFCO Board, noted Varanasi-based cooperator Ajay Rai has been appointed as Director on the Board of IFFCO-Tokio General Insurance Company.
Rai is a well-known face in the cooperative sector and has been associated with several cooperative institutions at the national level.
He has served on the boards of major cooperative organisations such as NAFED and NCCF, and is also associated with KRIBHCO. Apart from this, he is actively linked with Sahakar Bharati, an RSS-affiliated organisation, and has remained engaged with the cooperative movement from a young age.
Known for his strong grassroots connect and long association with the cooperative sector, Rai’s elevation to the IFFCO-Tokio Board is being seen as a significant recognition of his contribution to the cooperative movement.
IFFCO-Tokio is a joint venture between Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO) and Tokio Marine Group of Japan.
