Adventure Tourism: Ladakh signs MoU with Bike Co-op
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Tourism Department of the Union Territory Administration of Ladakh has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Royal Enfield and Ladakh Bike Co-operative Ltd. for the organisation of “Ladakh Bike Week,” a flagship initiative aimed at promoting the region as a premier destination for motorcycling and adventure tourism.

The initiative is expected to showcase Ladakh’s scenic landscapes, high-altitude routes and unique cultural heritage to biking enthusiasts from across India and abroad.

Officials said the programme would also create economic opportunities for local communities, tourism operators and cooperative institutions associated with the hospitality and travel sectors.

Under the collaboration, the partners will work together on event planning, tourism promotion, rider engagement and infrastructure support to position Ladakh as a global biking hub.

Tourism officials expressed confidence that the initiative would strengthen Ladakh’s tourism economy, encourage sustainable adventure tourism and enhance the visibility of local cooperative enterprises linked to the travel ecosystem.
