In a major push to strengthen India’s cooperative ecosystem, the Ministry of Cooperation, in collaboration with National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development, is set to organise a Regional Workshop in Jaipur today.

The workshop, to be held at Hotel Lalit, comes under the broader vision of Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, aimed at revitalising and modernising the cooperative sector across the country.

Senior officials from the Ministry, along with financial experts and sector specialists, will participate in detailed deliberations focusing on the evolving role, opportunities, and challenges faced by Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS).

Key national-level cooperative institutions such as National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India and National Cooperative Consumers’ Federation of India will also be part of the discussions.

The workshop is expected to serve as a platform for knowledge sharing, policy alignment, and strategic planning, with a focus on enhancing efficiency, transparency, and grassroots impact of cooperatives in India’s rural economy.
