The GCMMF’s call for requisite meeting which got stayed twice by the Gujarat High Court finally comes for hearing today on Tuesday. Quoting Gujarat State Cooperative bye-laws GCMMF Chairman Vipul Chaudhary had succeeded in postponing the meeting so far.

Would he be able to do so today also is anybody’s guess. Vipul’s lawyer is confident that since there is no provision Managing Director of cooperative giant could call for requite meeting, the verdict would be certainly in his client’s favour.

Talking to Indian Cooperative, Parthi Bhai Bhatol said that 14 out of 17 Directors are opposed to Vipul as of now and even the remaining milk unions are increasingly convinced of pernicious effect of wasteful ways Vipul Chaudhary is indulging into.

Vipul is accused of riding the cooperative union for his personal political gains. His largess to Maharashtra and an attempt to get intimate with Congress leaders are being resented by the BJP dominated cooperative behemoth.

Experts say that Vipul’s attempt to avoid Board meeting cannot succeed ultimately. It is a cooperative and the voice of Board members cannot be ignored for long. Today’s court hearing would clarify the situation, they felt.
