Union Consumer Affairs Secretary Nidhi Khare and NAFED Managing Director Deepak Agarwal visited the BISCOMAUN headquarters in Patna on Wednesday, where they were welcomed by BISCOMAUN Chairman Vishal Singh.
During the meeting, discussions focused on key issues including food security, consumer welfare, cooperative development and pulse production.
Several senior cooperative leaders were present on the occasion, including BISCOMAUN Vice Chairman Mahesh Rai, Bihar State Cooperative Federation Chairman Vinay Shahi, Bihar State Cooperative Bank Chairman Ramesh Chandra Chaubey, BISCOMAUN Director Dinesh Singh, and Patliputra Central Cooperative Bank Chairman Ritesh Kumar, along with other representatives from the cooperative sector.
The meeting underscored the importance of greater coordination between government agencies and cooperative institutions to strengthen supply chains, enhance agricultural output and safeguard consumer interests.
