Under the International Year of Cooperatives 2025, the National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), Regional Directorate Chandigarh, conferred the NCDC Regional Cooperative Excellence and Merit Awards 2025 on December 30, 2025, recognising outstanding performing cooperative societies and Farmer Producer Organisations (FPOs) from Haryana.
In the marketing category, the first prize was awarded to Haryana Cooperative Marketing-cum-Processing Society Ltd., Narwana (Jind district), while the second prize went to Haryana Cooperative Marketing-cum-Processing Society Ltd., Uchana (Jind district).
The first prize for Best Women Cooperative Society was bagged by The Sirsa Sakshi Cooperative Fruit and Vegetable Producer and Marketing Women Society Ltd., Sirsa. In the FPO category, the first prize was awarded to The Bawal Farmer Producer Cooperative Multipurpose Society Ltd., Rewari.
The award ceremony was graced by Surendra Rathi of Haryana State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Ltd., Panchkula, and Lalit Goyal, Regional Director, NCDC Chandigarh.
Winning societies received cash awards, certificates, and mementoes. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by Mohit Kumar, Private Secretary, NCDC Chandigarh.
