In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Union Minister of State for Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Smt. Nimuben Jayantibhai Bambhaniya stated that the Central Government has not received any complaint regarding irregularities in the purchase, sale, or rate fixation of sugarcane syrup and molasses from the ethanol plant at Bhoramdeo Sahakari Sugar Factory, Kabirdham, located in the Rajnandgaon Lok Sabha constituency.

However, she clarified that the State Government of Chhattisgarh has received a complaint on the aforesaid subject, made by Member of Parliament Santosh Pandey.

Responding to a query on the mode of distribution, the Minister confirmed that the cooperative sugar factory distributes molasses through a pipeline system.

The Minister informed that the quantity of molasses distributed through the pipeline by the sugar factory in the last three years was 50 metric tonnes in 2022–23, none in 2023–24, and a significant increase to 4,100 metric tonnes in 2024–25.
