In line with PM Narendra Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah’s vision for a developed India, Gujarat State Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Ltd. organized an induction training session and celebrated the International Cooperative Year.
The event highlighted cooperatives’ role in youth and women empowerment, with the launch of Ms Nirmaben Thakor as Kheti Bank’s brand ambassador. A farmer’s daughter and gold medalist athlete, she will lead a statewide literacy campaign inspiring rural youth to pursue sports and personal growth.
During the event, Miss Nirma Thakor was presented with a special brand ambassador kit, which included shoes and a T-shirt, symbolizing her role in promoting the cooperative values and empowering youth and women.
Newly recruited employees, including persons with disabilities, received their recruitment orders, showcasing the bank’s commitment to inclusion and diversity.
Dignitaries including Deputy Speaker and NAFED Chairman Jetha Bhai Bharwad, Rajya Sabha MP Mayank Bhai Nayak and others graced the occasion. A quiz competition on cooperatives and women’s empowerment was also held.
The event marked a significant step towards “Viksit Bharat,” reinforcing cooperatives’ role in social and economic development.
