Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah inaugurated the new building of the Raddi Sahakara Bank Niyamitha on Sunday, praising cooperative banks for their crucial role in empowering farmers.
The bank holds a special connection with Nafcub Chairman Emeritus and veteran cooperator H.K. Patil, who is presently on the bank’s board.
The event was marked by the unveiling of the statue of the bank’s founder, F.T. Nalawadi.
The Raddi Sahakara Bank Niyamitha, established in 1914, is a state-level urban cooperative bank and a pioneer in the cooperative banking sector. It currently operates in 10 districts across Karnataka.
During his address, Siddaramaiah emphasized the importance of cooperative banks in boosting the financial capabilities of rural communities, particularly farmers, by providing them with essential financial services and support.
