Cooperators across the country erupted in enthusiasm to celebrate the birthday of a Prime Minister who has fulfilled their long cherished dream of having a separate ministry of cooperation at the centre.
Modi not only created a separate ministry but also brought co-op centre stage by anointing an effective Amit Shah as its Minister, said co-operators in chorus, greeting Modi who turned 72 on Saturday.
Led by Union Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, co-operators cutting across party lines joined the nation in celebrating the day. “Modijee has taken various steps in the direction of helping the handicaped. To celebrate his birthday I am meeting them in Hyderabad and distributing articles that could ease their lives”, said Shah in a tweet.
Many co-operators also distributed food packets, fruits and other eating items to needy people whereas many took to social media to greet the Prime Minister.
NCUI President Dileep Sanghani participated in a blood donation camp and released a short video showing the time he has spent with the Prime Minister.
Apart from greeting the Prime Minister on his birthday, IFFCO celebrated the day by distributing Poshak Vatika Kits among farmers, women and others across the country.
A special event for the tree plantation drive and the fruit distribution program was held at the premises of Gujarat State Cooperative Union at Ahmedabad and Chairman Ghanshyam Amin planted trees and distributed fruits to the children to mark the celebration of the birthday of Prime Minister.Modi.
On this occasion, Dr.Rajendra Trivedi, Executive Officer and other officers as well as staff members
of Gujarat State Cooperative Union also remained present and celebrated the birthday of the PM with enthusiasm, read a release.
Nafcub President Jyotindra Mehta celebrated the day by cutting a cake on the side-lines of Annual General Meeting of Gujarat Urban Cooperative Banks Federation.
