FE reports several banks including self-help group banks and cooperative banks have disbursed loans for MSMEs including street vendors under the Prime Minister SvanNidhi microcredit scheme.
The loans have been offered collateral free. The scheme had received 45 lakh applications as of March 2022.
The applicants have been disbursed loans amounting to Rs 3,137 crores so far.
