A two-day training program for the staff of the Karnataka state Souhrada federal cooperative was conducted at SIT, Tumkur on 26th and 27th March 2022.
The training program was inaugurated by his holiness Sri Siddhaganga Swamiji of Siddhagangamata. He blessed the participants with a great message of cooperation as a base for all socio-economic development of every person, community, country, and the whole world.
The program was presided over by B H Krishna Reddy, President, KSSFCL. There were 92 participants in the training.
Addressing the staff of KSSFCL and giving the message of work with commitment, Krishna Reddy said the Souhrada movement in Karnataka is a model for the whole country. He said it should be developed further in all the states of our country.
Reddy explained the achievements of his board of directors in these five years that the KSSFCL has 3 buildings, one at Bengaluru, the second at Belagavi, one more at Kalaburgi, and we have a site at Mysuru.
We have a plan to build in all the districts so that the Souharda movement in Karnataka should be an instrument of economic development for the common people.
Sharanagouda G Patil, Managing Director, KSSFCL, welcomed guests and spoke about the training program. Suryakanth Ryakale, Legal Officer, KSSFCL gave a vote of thanks.
It bears recall that the Karnataka State Souharda Federal Cooperative Ltd, is the apex body of cooperatives based in the state of Karnataka. Souharda Federal Cooperative is a democratically elected self-regulatory organization of the cooperatives registered under Karnataka Souharda Sahakari Act, 1997.
All the cooperatives registered under the Act are the members of Federal cooperative. The membership to Federal cooperative is mandatory. The apex body of the organization is the general body consisting of representatives of member cooperatives. Each revenue district will have one representation in the Board.
Media reports say there are over 45000 co-ops and 28 apex cooperative federations in the state and there are over 4643 Souharda Coops with a working capital of around Rs 20,000 crore.
