Nabard chairman G.R. Chintala said Nabard launched a series of loan schemes in Jharkhand but the farmers’ response was far from satisfactory, reports Telegraph.
Chintala was talking to journalists in Ranchi. The Nabard chairman expressed his sadness at the fact that even the coop dept of the state showed little interest in taking loans from Nabard.
Chintala said Jharkhand could not develop without enough credit.
However, the Nabard chairman noted that massive loans provided by Nabard to the state would show positive results in terms of infrastructural development in the state in the next few years.
