AP Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy virtually opened Jagananna Palavelluva- AP Amul Project in Krishna district on Wednesday, reports a news outlet.
It is said Amul will collect milk daily from 264 villages across the district through the project. The chief minister described Amul as the largest cooperative in the country.
In his remarks on the occasion, the chief minister said this would give a fillip to the empowerment of women self-help groups by promoting milk cooperatives which would help farmers earn profits.
