During the mega National Cooperative Conference, the world’s number one fertilizer cooperative IFFCO’s use of nanotechnology in the fertilizer sector to make IFFCO NANO UREA Liquid was highly appreciated by Amit Shah, Minister Home Affairs and Minister of Cooperation.

Shah described the role of IFFCO in making the Green Revolution successful in the country. He also praised the world’s first Nano liquid urea manufactured by IFFCO. He called it a revolution in the agriculture sector.

The entire cooperative community is appreciating this noble effort to Change the agriculture sector for the benefit of farmers, said Shah.

In the conference, Union Cooperation Minister compared the cooperative model with rest and said a big company like IFFCO makes farmers partner in its net profit which is based on the core mantra of cooperative.

Shah, who is known to do research before any meeting said, IFFCO became a society in the year 1967 with 57 cooperatives and today they grow by making more than 36,000 cooperative members and distribute their dividends to about 5.5 crore farmers.

Shah said that usually when a very big company makes profit, large part of it goes to owner. But this is not the case in cooperatives. Whatever IFFCO will earn today its every pai will go to the homes of 5.5 crores of farmers and this is called cooperative.
