The Nepalese government has regulated the cooperative Act 2017, to stop cooperatives from charging undue interest rates on loans, reports Kathmandu Post.
The move follows one and a half years after the Cooperative Act became effective.
Cooperative officials say there had lately been reports of the cooperative sector fleecing customers.
