Puducherry Lt Governor Kiran who has of let taken interest in improving the co-operative scenario in the Union Territory, has now warned that defaulters on loans from cooperative banks would be named and shamed into repaying their loans, reports PTI.
In a digital message Kiran Bedi told journalists borrowers would be asked to repay loans latest by mid April.
State Cooperative Bank officials had earlier apprised the Lt. Governor of the miserable financial situation of the bank.
Kiran Bedi held that naming and shaming would help the cooperative bank reduce its mounting NPAs.
