Several cooperative bodies including IFFCO, KRIBHCO, Fishcopfed, NCDC and others are participating in the Krishi Unnati Mela inaugurated by Union Minister Radha Mohan Singh in the premises of Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi on Wednesday.
The cooperative organizations are showcasing their achievements through stalls on the occasion. A large number of people are visiting these stalls. Minister of State for Agriculture Sudarshan Bhagat along with several top-notch officials of the Ministry were also present on the occasion.
IFFCO subsidiaries including IFFDC, IFFCO-TOKIO insurance company’s representatives were explaining to the visitors how to download IFFCO Kisan Sanchar app, among other things.
While KRIBHCO displayed different types of Urea, NCDC officials showcased their schemes for the development of
the agriculture sector.
Fishcopfed representative said “, we are getting good feedback as most of people are coming to our stalls and getting impressed by CIFAX medicine, Insurance policy and other initiatives launched by Fishcopfed. One of them added CIFAX is an important medicine for the fish and there is a need to promote this in a big way”.
The objective of this Mela was to provide information about new techniques in agriculture, animal husbandry as well as the central government’s schemes for the welfare of farmers.
Apart from cooperative organizations, ICAR Institutes, SAUs, KVKs, ATARIs, Public Sector Undertakings, NGOs, Pvt. Organizations and innovative farmers displayed their products.
