Parking in housing societies is the most abused area by builders and supported by Registrar of Cooperative Societies by passively recognizing the practice of sale (illegal as per SC Judgment), through Model Bye Laws forced upon the flat purchasers to register as recommended. This is evidenced in Bye Law No 78(b) of the latest Model 2014 extracted here:. The allotment of Parking Space shall be made by the Committee on the basis of “First Come First Served”, for available parking slots However the Member shall have no right to sell or transfer the Parking Slot allotted by the Society.
Why this phrase “for available parking slots”?
