Enquiry shows a large-scale misappropriation of funds through fake agricultural loans in primary agriculture cooperative societies and district cooperative central banks in AP.
This is supposed to have happened as a result of the farm loan waiver announced by the state govt. Govt sources say political leaders drawn from various political parties have claimed loans in others’ names and in many cases without the knowledge of farmers.
The state govt contemplates taking action against all those who have committed this crime, say sources.
