The Office of the Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS), under the Ministry of Cooperation, has invited applications for engaging four Young Professionals (Finance) on a contractual basis, with a specific focus on examining the audited financial statements and inspection reports of Multi-State Cooperative Societies (MSCSs).
The recruitment drive seeks qualified finance professionals, including members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI), Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) and Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI). Candidates holding an MBA in Finance are also eligible to apply.
According to the notification released on Friday, selected professionals will receive a consolidated remuneration of Rs 70,000 per month. The initial engagement will be for one year, extendable by another year based on performance. The maximum age limit is 40 years, and applicants must have at least one year of post-qualification experience in finance or accounts.
The key responsibility of the Young Professionals will be to examine the audited financial statements of Multi-State Cooperative Societies, verify compliance with accounting standards and statutory provisions of the Multi-State Cooperative Societies Act, 2002, and identify qualifications raised by statutory auditors.
They will also examine inspection reports, cross-verify findings with financial statements and audit reports, assess the financial health and sustainability of cooperative societies, and identify financial irregularities, risks or instances of mismanagement. They may also recommend remedial measures based on their findings.
The initiative is aimed at strengthening financial scrutiny and supervisory work relating to Multi-State Cooperative Societies within the CRCS office.
