The International Cooperative Alliance (ICA) and its Working Group on Cooperative Cultural Heritage will organise a global webinar, “Cooperation that Echoes through Time”, on October 30, 2026, from 13:00 to 14:30 CET through Zoom.
The webinar will explore how cooperatives help communities preserve cultural heritage, sustain living traditions and pass knowledge to future generations. It will also examine the connections between cultural heritage, community livelihoods and sustainable development.
A key highlight will be the launch of a policy brief on intangible cultural heritage and cooperatives, looking ahead to the International Decade of Culture for Sustainable Development 2027–2036.
Confirmed speakers include Tiago Schmidt of ICA CCH, Lutz Möller of the German Commission for UNESCO, Professor Jieun Kiaer of the University of Oxford, Miles Hadfield of Co-operative News and Professor Harekrishna Misra of the ICA Asia and Pacific Research Committee.
Interpretation will be available in English, Spanish, French and Portuguese.
