KRIBHCO’s role in strengthening the fertiliser supply chain and promoting balanced fertiliser use in Uttar Pradesh was highlighted at a media workshop organised in Lucknow on “Fertiliser Management & India’s Roadmap to Agricultural Self-reliance: Role of KRIBHCO”.
The workshop was organised by FIJEEHA and GreyMatters Communications in collaboration with KRIBHCO and supported by NGO Action.
Addressing the programme, Rishipal Singh Rathore, State Marketing Manager, KRIBHCO, Uttar Pradesh, said the cooperative supplies 10–12 lakh metric tonnes of urea and around 3 lakh metric tonnes of DAP annually in the state.
He also outlined KRIBHCO’s efforts to educate and train farmers on the responsible use of fertilisers, emphasising the importance of balanced nutrient application for sustainable agriculture.
Prof. Manish Verma and Dr. Navneet Anand, Director of GreyMatters Communications and President of FIJEEHA, also addressed the workshop.
The discussions focused on fertiliser management, agricultural self-reliance and the role of cooperative institutions in ensuring timely fertiliser availability while encouraging appropriate usage among farmers.
