New Delhi, September 30, 2026: The Ministry of Cooperation has been recognised by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) for its contribution to “Aadhaar Saajhedari”, an initiative aimed at developing an innovative framework for Aadhaar-enabled services.
The Ministry received a Certificate of Appreciation during the 17th Aadhaar Day celebrations held in Kolkata on September 29, 2026.
The recognition highlights the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Cooperation and UIDAI in leveraging digital solutions based on Aadhaar to strengthen citizen-centric services through the cooperative ecosystem.
The initiative assumes significance as the cooperative sector increasingly adopts digital platforms and technology to improve access to services and enhance operational efficiency.
The recognition also reflects the Ministry’s efforts to integrate cooperatives with broader digital public infrastructure and use technology to expand the reach of services to citizens.
The initiative is in line with the government’s broader focus on strengthening cooperatives through technology and digital transformation.
