Amreli District Cooperative Union, under the leadership of its Chairman Manish Sanghani, has sent around 40 cooperative leaders from Gujarat’s Amreli district to New Delhi for specialised training in fertilizer marketing and management technology.
The programme, organised by IFFCO, is aimed at equipping ministers, managers and directors of cooperative institutions with modern techniques and better management skills.
The three- to four-day programme focuses on fertilizer marketing, management technology and emerging practices relevant to farmers and cooperatives. The training is intended to strengthen the managerial capabilities of grassroots cooperative leaders and help them improve services to farmers.
Manish Sanghani has previously led Amreli cooperative delegations to Delhi for capacity-building programmes. In September 2025, he led a 52-member delegation to an NCUI leadership programme in New Delhi, which also included a study visit to IFFCO headquarters.
The current initiative reflects Amreli’s continuing emphasis on professional development of cooperative leadership. Through exposure to new technologies and management practices, the participating representatives are expected to strengthen their institutions and contribute to greater farmer engagement.
The programme also fits into the broader cooperative movement’s emphasis on capacity building and the “Sahkar Se Samriddhi” vision, with stronger skills and technology being seen as important to making cooperatives more efficient and farmer-oriented.
