Pune based Sharad Sahakari Bank Ltd crossed the Rs 2,000 crore deposit mark during 2025-26, reporting steady business growth at its 53rd Annual General Meeting.
The bank’s deposits rose 8.50% to Rs 2,024.69 crore, while advances increased 9.57% to Rs 1,378.53 crore as of March 31, 2026. Gross profit rose from Rs 35.28 crore to Rs 41.50 crore, while net profit stood at Rs 10.18 crore. The bank has proposed a 10% dividend for members.
Addressing members through video conference, Chairman Devendra Shah said the bank had maintained stability and customer-focused services despite changing economic conditions.
He said the contribution of directors, management, employees, members, depositors and customers had played an important role in the bank’s progress.
Former Cooperation Minister Dilip Walse Patil, who addressed the AGM, urged the bank to assess a borrower’s repayment capacity, business viability and financial planning, rather than considering collateral alone while sanctioning loans.
He also called upon Sharad Bank to take the lead in promoting solar panels among households and farmers and provide loans under the PM Surya Ghar scheme.
The bank’s paid-up share capital rose to Rs 51.39 crore, while net worth increased to Rs 142.22 crore. Its CRAR stood at 13.83% at the end of the financial year.
