The Gujarat State Co-operative Union organised a State-Level Youth Seminar for Girls on September 19, 2026, bringing together more than 1,000 young women for a day focused on knowledge, leadership, empowerment and opportunities.
The seminar was held under the leadership of Gujarat State Co-operative Union Chairman Ghanshyambhai H. Amin, who delivered an inspirational address and explained the importance and benefits of the cooperative sector to the young participants.
Minister of State, Government of Gujarat, Darshnaben Vaghela, was among the distinguished guests at the program. Dollar Kotecha, Chairman of the National Agricultural and Rural Development Banks Federation Ltd., Navi Mumbai, and Chairman of The Gujarat State Agri. & Rural Development Bank Ltd., Ahmedabad, also participated.
Milind Kale, Vice Chairman of the National Federation of Urban Co-operative Banks & Credit Societies Ltd. and former Chairman of Cosmos Co-operative Bank Ltd., was another key speaker. Smt. Inderpreet Kaur, Assistant Director, NCUI, New Delhi, also addressed the gathering.
Renowned entrepreneur and motivational speaker Sanjay Raval shared thoughts on ambition, confidence and personal growth, encouraging the participants to pursue their goals with determination.
The seminar also featured special expert sessions covering issues of particular relevance to young women. Smt. Manisha Pandya spoke on awareness and protection of women from domestic violence, while Smt. Rakshaben Chaudhary explained employment opportunities available through milk cooperative societies.
Smt. Niruben K. Patel conducted a session on leadership development and empowerment of women, highlighting the importance of confidence, participation and leadership among young women.
The organisers said the seminar provided an interactive platform for learning, networking and leadership development while creating awareness about opportunities available through the cooperative movement.
With participation exceeding 1,000 girls, the programme also highlighted the growing emphasis on youth and women in the cooperative sector. The Gujarat State Co-operative Union sought to encourage young women to view cooperatives not only as institutions serving communities but also as a platform for employment, entrepreneurship, leadership and social development.
The seminar concluded with an emphasis on building the confidence and capabilities of young women so that they can emerge as future leaders, entrepreneurs and contributors to an inclusive society.
