Union Minister of State for Cooperation and Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol has praised the contribution of Annasaheb Jolle and his wife Shashikala Jolle to Karnataka’s cooperative movement, particularly through cooperative sugar factories, cooperative banks and credit societies.
Addressing the inauguration of the new Head Office of Shri Beereshwar Co-operative Credit Society Ltd. (Multi-State) at Nandi in Chikodi taluka of Belagavi district, Mohol said cooperation has expanded significantly across states such as Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.
Referring to the Jolle family’s work across various segments of the cooperative sector, the Minister appreciated their role in strengthening cooperative institutions in Karnataka.
Mohol said continuous efforts are being made to strengthen, modernise, ensure transparency and expand the cooperative sector under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Sahkar Se Samriddhi’ vision and the leadership of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah.
Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, senior Karnataka dignitaries, cooperative sector representatives and a large number of citizens attended the programme.
