Mumbai based Shivajirao Nalawade has been unanimously elected President of the Mumbai Cooperative Union, while Amol Kharat has been elected Vice-President.
The election for key office-bearer posts was held at the Mumbai Bank auditorium under the supervision of Election Officer Deepak Padvi.
Nitin Bankar was unanimously elected Honorary Secretary, while Jayant Shirishkar was chosen as Joint Secretary.
Speaking on the occasion, the leadership expressed confidence that under the experienced guidance of President Shivajirao Nalawade, the Union would work towards strengthening cooperative institutions in Mumbai, promoting cooperative education and effectively pursuing the issues and challenges faced by cooperative organisations.
