Maharashtra based Sindhudurg District Central Cooperative Bank has announced the results of its ‘Ideal Dairy Cooperative Society’ competition, with Banda Panchkrushi Cooperative Dairy Society Ltd., Banda, emerging as the district’s top performer.

The competition was organised to boost milk production and strengthen dairy cooperative societies across Sindhudurg. Bank Chairman Manish Dalvi said the best-performing societies will be honoured at a grand dairy convention scheduled for the first week of October 2026.

The competition evaluated societies on management, financial discipline, transparency, digital transactions, growth in milk collection, member services and effective utilisation of government schemes. Of 141 milk-supplying societies invited to participate, 30 submitted proposals by August 30.

Banda Panchkrushi won the first prize of Rs 50,000. Insuli Cooperative Dairy Society and Shri Devi Mauli Cooperative Dairy Society shared second place and Rs 30,000, while Mayur Dairy Society and Yashoda Dairy Society jointly secured third place with Rs 20,000. Shri Sateri Prasadic Vikas Sanstha received the consolation prize of Rs 10,000.

Dalvi urged more societies to participate next year and work towards excellence.
