The role of Fish Farmer Producer Organisations (FFPOs) in strengthening climate-resilient small-scale fisheries and aquaculture will be discussed at a webinar on September 1, 2026. The programme will focus on how FFPOs can promote collective action, improve access to finance and markets, and support sustainable livelihoods for small-scale fisheries producers.
The webinar is being organised by the Global Network for Capacity Building to Increase Access of Small-Scale Fisheries to Financial Services (CAFI SSF Network), in association with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC), APRACA, GAF and AFRACA.
NCDC Deputy Managing Director Rohit Gupta will attend the programme as Chief Guest, while NCDC’s LINAC Director General Manoj Kumar will speak on enterprise training and incubation centres for FFPOs.
The session will highlight capacity building and enterprise development as key tools for strengthening producer organisations and improving financial inclusion in the fisheries sector.
