National Cooperative Exports Limited (NCEL) is strengthening India’s cooperative export ecosystem by connecting surplus products of cooperatives with international markets and improving market access and price realisation for members.

According to the Ministry of Cooperation, 16,408 PACS and cooperative societies have joined NCEL so far. The organisation has facilitated exports of 54 agricultural commodities, including rice, wheat, maize, sugar, onion and cumin. Overall, 15.40 lakh metric tonnes of agricultural commodities have been exported, with shipments worth ?6,341 crore reaching 38 countries.

NCEL is supporting the entire export value chain, covering procurement, storage, processing, certification, branding, packaging, marketing and international trade. The initiative is aimed at enabling cooperatives to participate more effectively in global markets and secure better returns for their products.

NCEL has also provided a 20 per cent dividend to member cooperatives for both FY 2023-24 and FY 2024-25, reinforcing the economic benefits of cooperative-led exports.
