A Saras Sahkar Mahakumbh was organised in Ajmer, Rajasthan on Sunday, bringing farmers, livestock rearers and cooperative stakeholders together to highlight the need for stronger cooperatives and greater support for the dairy sector.

Addressing farmers and livestock rearers at the event alongside PCC President Govind Singh Dotasara, the speaker called for strengthening the cooperative system and ensuring adequate government support for the state’s dairy community.

The event highlighted Saras as more than just a dairy brand, describing it as a symbol of the hard work, self-reliance and economic empowerment of lakhs of livestock rearers across Rajasthan.

The speaker stressed that livestock rearers currently require greater institutional support and appropriate government assistance to protect their livelihoods and improve their economic security.

The event also highlighted the role of cooperatives in providing farmers collective strength, better market opportunities and sustainable livelihoods.
