The Andhra Pradesh Government has extended the tenure of the existing Official Person-In-Charge of the A.P. Brahmin Cooperative Credit Society Limited, Vijayawada, for another six months, from August 5, 2026, to February 4, 2027.

The decision was issued on Thursday by the Agriculture & Cooperation Department. The extension will remain in force until the society conducts elections and the newly elected committee assumes charge, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

The government has also relaxed the society from the provisions of Section 32(7)(a) of the Andhra Pradesh Cooperative Societies Act, 1964, by invoking its powers under Section 123 of the Act.

The order follows a proposal submitted by the Commissioner for Cooperation and Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Andhra Pradesh. The Registrar has been directed to take necessary action to implement the government’s decision.

The move effectively keeps the society under official management until its elected committee takes over.
