Bharat Taxi has registered 8.48 lakh drivers and 44.27 lakh customers, while facilitating 11,106 daily rides, Cooperation Minister Amit Shah informed the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday.
In a written reply, Shah said the cooperative-led mobility platform, operated by Sahakar Taxi Cooperative Limited (STCL), is currently operational in Delhi-NCR, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Rajasthan, with its nationwide rollout being undertaken in phases.
As of August 4, 2026, Bharat Taxi had enabled cumulative earnings of ?83.70 crore for its drivers, known as Sarathis.
Delhi-NCR recorded the highest average daily rides at 5,574, followed by Gujarat at 3,817, Pune 632, Jaipur 372, Lucknow 324, Mumbai 197 and Chandigarh 190.
Shah said expansion to other cities and States would depend on operational preparedness, availability of Sarathis, statutory requirements and coordination with State Governments and other stakeholders.
He also said Bharat Taxi has signed an MoU with the West Bengal Government for collaboration with Yatri Sathi, covering driver enrolment, cooperative membership, driver welfare and public outreach.
