Mumbai based Abhyudaya Cooperative Bank organised a health awareness webinar, as part of its customer awareness initiatives and to mark Doctor’s Day. The programme brought together medical specialists from cardiology, orthopaedics, urology and pain management to promote preventive healthcare and healthy living among customers.
Cardiologist Dr. Ashok Punjabi highlighted the rising incidence of heart attacks and stressed the importance of a balanced diet, adequate protein intake, regular exercise, blood sugar control and periodic blood pressure monitoring.
Orthopaedic specialist Dr. Shreedhar Archik advised people, particularly those working long hours at desks, to remain physically active, exercise for at least 30 minutes daily and take short breaks during working hours.
Urologist Dr. Prashant Kumar Patnaik emphasised personal hygiene, adequate water intake, early health awareness and timely consultation with doctors. Pain management specialist Dr. Manorama Patnaik spoke about chronic pain, stressing proper posture, physical fitness and timely medical advice.
The webinar also featured a question-and-answer session, with doctors addressing participants’ queries individually. A total of 834 stakeholders attended the programme.
Bank Administrator Satya Prakash Pathak, Committee Advisor Venkatesh Hegde, CEO Baru Raj Upadhyay, Chief General Manager Ramesh Singh and other senior officials were present.
