Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the presentation of the Bihar State Cooperative Bank Ltd. and discuss measures to strengthen the state’s cooperative banking system.

The meeting focused on improving farmers’ access to affordable agricultural credit, modernising cooperative banks, promoting digital banking services, empowering Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS), and making the cooperative sector more efficient and financially robust.

During the review, officials deliberated on various initiatives aimed at enhancing the operational capacity of cooperative institutions and expanding technology-driven banking services to rural areas. The discussions also emphasised strengthening the role of PACS in delivering timely financial services and supporting agricultural development across the state.

The meeting was attended by Cooperation Minister Ramkripal Yadav, Cooperation Department Secretary Dharmendra Singh, and Registrar of Cooperative Societies Rajnish Kumar Singh, along with senior officials of the department.
