The Maharashtra State Cooperative Union has lodged an FIR against former licensee Uttamrao P. Shinde, alleging that he continued to occupy the Union’s property in Pune despite the expiry of a leave and licence agreement, repeated legal notices and a court decree directing him to vacate the premises.

The FIR, registered at Bundgarden Police Station under Section 447 of the Indian Penal Code (criminal trespass), was filed by Pradipkumar Vitthalrao Muluk, Chief Administrative Officer (Administration & Establishment), after receiving authorisation from Union Chairman Pravin Darekar.

According to the complaint, the Union had licensed its property at 5, B.J. Road, near Woodland Hotel, Pune, to Shinde for computer education activities.

The last registered leave and licence agreement was valid from November 1, 2006, to October 31, 2011. The Union alleges that Shinde failed to vacate the premises after the licence expired and continued allowing third parties to use the property without permission.

The complaint further states that the Small Causes Court, Pune, on May 3, 2025, directed Shinde to hand over possession within one month and clear outstanding dues. Alleging non-compliance with the court’s order, the Union approached the police, leading to the registration of the FIR.
