The Andhra Pradesh Government has sanctioned Rs 21.67 lakh for the computerisation of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (PACS) under the Centrally Sponsored Project, reaffirming its commitment to modernising the cooperative credit structure in the state.

According to G.O. issued by the Agriculture and Cooperation Department on Monday, the Government has accorded administrative sanction for the release of Rs 21,66,667 to the Commissioner for Cooperation & Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CC&RCS), Andhra Pradesh.

The amount has been released from the 2026-27 Budget Estimates to meet expenditure under the “Computerisation of Primary Agricultural Credit Societies (AP414)” project. The sanction has also been granted in relaxation of quarterly budget regulations, enabling timely implementation of the programme.

The order follows a proposal submitted by the CC&RCS and the Budget Release Order issued earlier this month by the Finance Department.

The PACS computerisation initiative is part of the Government of India’s nationwide drive to digitise cooperative credit institutions, improve transparency, strengthen governance, and enhance service delivery to farmers through technology-enabled operations.
