The Cooperation Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh, has highlighted the state’s extensive consumer cooperative network, stating that nearly 1,000 Primary Consumer Cooperative Societies are ensuring the availability of quality consumer goods at affordable prices across the state.
In a post shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, the department said the cooperative consumer business is playing a vital role in making everyday life easier for citizens by providing essential commodities at reasonable rates through a well-established cooperative network.
The department added that the state’s Consumer Federation is successfully operating Priyadarshini Super Bazaars and LPG gas agencies, strengthening the cooperative retail ecosystem and expanding access to essential household products and services.
The initiative reflects the Madhya Pradesh government’s continued emphasis on leveraging the cooperative model to promote consumer welfare, improve retail accessibility, and ensure the supply of quality products through member-driven institutions.
