Media reports say Banas Dairy will soon become billion-dollar cooperatives.
The Banas Dairy’s collection was of 73.75 lakh litres a day the highest procured milk by any dairy organization in Asia.
GCMMF RS Sodhi attributed the industry’s achievement to a good procurement price paid to dairy farmers, the reports quote.
GCMMF owns 84 dairy processing plants in and outside Gujarat. A report says Amul’s worth will be 7.1 billion dollar and its member unions will reach the Rs 50, 000 crore mark.
