Cooperators participate in Tehran seminar

Soon after attending the AGM of NCCF the duo Chandra Pal Singh Yadav and Bijender Singh left for Iran to attend a cooperative function. Others who joined them on the trip were Biscomaun Chairman Sunil Kumar Singh and Nafed Chairman V R Patel.

“We have come here to attend a cooperative seminar”, reacted Biscomaun Chairman to a prodding at his Face book post. His FB wall contains more than a dozen photographs depicting different stages of cooperative seminar. Some of these have been clicked in the background of Tehran’s famous landmarks.

Informed sources say the Iranian govt has sent invitation to Indian cooperators at the behest of ICA. The cost of travel is being borne by the Iranian govt, sources claimed.

But it did not stop one of Sunil Singh’s FB friends to jokingly remind him to be in the motherland once in a while. Sunil Singh’s FB content mostly depicts stories of his foreign tours. Even the Modi government had been critical of foreign jaunts undertaken by cooperative leaders.

Union Minister Radha Mohan Singh is believed to have written letters to apex cooperative bodies to cut down on foreign trips. But Tehran trip is an exception as the money was shelled out by Iran, quipped a cooperator on condition of anonymity.
