Una Sugar Cooperative in Gir Somnath district of Gujarat has fallen into such a state of disrepair that it is past redemption.
As directed earlier by the Gujarat High Court, the state government has decided to liquidate it.
According to official sources, all assets of the ailing sugar factory including plant, machinery and godowns would soon be brought under the hammer.
The authorities have already invited tenders for the auction. The latter is expected to fetch a little more than Rs 6 crore.
