Sunil returns to hero’s welcome

Biscomaun Chairman Dr Sunil Kumar Singh returned to a hero’s welcome as soon as he landed at Patna airport Wednesday noon. Thousand of his supporters were waiting for him with loads of flower garlands.

“What can I say; it is their love as they are thrilled to have one of them grabbing a coveted post in a national cooperative federation like Nafed. Nafed was the pride of cooperative only till yesterday and has a brand value. Its name still inspires awe and respect among cooperators”, Singh told Indian Cooperative.

There were cooperators connected to all sorts of cooperatives such as State Cooperative Bank, DCCBs, PACS, and of course the entire Biscomaun family. Some of his friends such as Ram Babu Singh filled up their FB walls with victory photographs of Sunil Singh.

”I got unstinted support of all and feel humbled, said Sunil. This time at the airport even local IFFCO officials had come to greet me, not to talk of Kribhco where I am a Board member,” added Sunil.

Sunil created history in the elections by bagging highest number of votes-a fact even his God Fathers were not able to comprehend. Even Ashok Thakur the man who has been battling the duo of Chandra Pal and Bijendra, voted for him, claimed Sunil.

What matters in cooperative is ultimately your personal rapport, underlined Sunil. According to sources even Vishal Singh his betenoir voted for him. Vishal is his arch rival at the state level.

Lauding Vishal perhaps for the first time for his support Sunil said Vishal acted prudently this time. The fact of the matter, however, is Sunil was a panel candidate and Vishal belonged to the same panel. He had no option but to vote for his candidature. Efforts to know Vishal’s reaction on the issue failed as he said he was driving.
