The faculty Mr P Chattopadhayay of Vamnicom has been given a breather as soon as the officiating Director N Satyanarayan made a visit to Vaikunth Lal Mehta after taking over its reins at the order of the NCUI Chairman last month.
“I have asked the Registrar to prepare a status report in his case. Once that comes we will decide. If it can be resolved at the level of Chairman NCCT then fine or else we would forward the matter to the Ministry”, Satyanarayan said.
Meanwhile, Chattopadhayay has been asked to focus on his annual action plan and resume his usual working schedule. We have restored all his facilities including computer and internet, the CE added.
Readers would note that Patjoshi who joined as Joint Secretary to the Government of India in the Ministry of Panchayati had terminated P Chattopadhyay while parting. Talking to Indian Cooperative he said “On 19-April-2016 the Pune Higher District court has quashed and cancelled the defamation case of P Chatopadhaya . P Chatopadhaya
had been terminated from service from Vamnicom by Director Vamnicom vide order DT 17-5-2016.”
The premier cooperative institute Vamnicom was in the news in the wake of an unseemly spat that took place between P Chattopadhyay and Director Sanjib Patjoshi, an IPS officer. The parties Involved had diametrically opposite stories on the matter. .
Talking about the feud with the faculty Chattopadhayay Patjoshi said the police investigation would continue and Chattopadhyay has to cooperate with the investigation.
