Scrape Lecturers Appointment: Cooperative Secretary

Ministry has tightened  its screw on National Cooperative Union of India to scrape the appointment of lecturer and take punitive action on three alleged culprits  Paramjyoti, the then Secretary General of NCCT, the then Director General Anita Manchanda and R K Singh.

NCUI had earlier shot a mild letter to Anita Manchand asking her to explain her conduct.

According to highly placed source, the Secretary of Agricultural Ministry told President Chandra Pal Singh Yadav to take action least the matter would be referred to CBI. Indiancooperative.com’s effort to talk to Mr Chandra Pal failed as he was out of Delhi.

NCUI is caught from all sides with its staff and project works suffering on account of lack of fund. Government has stopped its grant on host of issues including curtailment of President’s power. Governing Council has in its last meeting decided to reject government proposal thereby intensifying the fight with the government.

But Lecturers’ appointment issue is something on which the Ministry does not seem to relent. The situation before NCUI is equally tough as appointed lecturers have already joined their duties. If NCUI cancels the appointments, the affected parties would knock the door of court thus leading unending litigations.

Indiancooperative.com is told that NCUI is also working on reformulating the appointment procedure in the future. The newly appointed Chief Executive De Dinesh has drawn a blue print by which misconduct could be checked in future appointments.
