NCUI: Wiped-out BJP nurses its wound

While leaders have gone back to their cocoons after hectic NCUI electioneering in Delhi, the after effect of the results are being felt loud and clear by the BJP camp. BJP has been practically wiped out in this election for the first time in the history of NCUI election, said an insider.

The ruling clique played it skillfully during the election but they do not realize that we are no fools and it is going to cost them in future. After all it is BJP government and we not going to take it lightly, a senior BJP cooperator said to the Indian Cooperative on condition of anonymity.

To prove their point of being treated unfairly by the ruling clique, they pointed out four cases. “Take the case of Rajesh Sharma who was defeated solely due to his BJP connection despite being the strongest candidate and Devinder Singh Thakur from Himanchal Pradesh won. Other cases included that of Konkodi Padmanabha, Ashok Dabas and Lakhan Lal Sahu, he added.

When pointed out that GH Amin a BJP candidate has won, the BJP leader retorted” Amin won after striking truce with them. His victory cannot be called a BJP victory. He won on his own.”

Sunil Singh, a strong supporter of the ruling clique vehemently denied any such design. “In fact we adjusted the two BJP cooperators Shekhawat and Dilip Singhania as co-opted members. To tell you the truth I sacrificed my chance and prevailed on Chandra Palji to co-opt them though he was willing to have me on the Board as a co-opted member. If you do not believe me go and ask him”, the strongman from Bihar added.

BJP cooperators, however pooh-pooh this argument. While Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat is on board of Kribhco and he was adjusted in a “deal”, and Singhania may not be ever co-opted. Tamil Nadu woman cooperator A.Amudha Arunachalam is going to be “adjusted” instead, as she facilitated the victory of G T DeveGowda in a deal, they point out.

All in all the BJP camp is nursing its wound and planning to hit back. The “deal and adjustment” exercises have been so intense that the NCUI could not elect the two vice-chairmen along with the President as had been the tradition in the past. It is obvious the Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh, a RSS man cannot sit idle and watch the melodrama, the cooperator added.
