Stories of Union Agriculture Minister Radha Mohan Singh arm-twisting NCUI on the issue of NCCT Secretary Mohan Mishra are currently doing the rounds in the cooperative circles. Cooperators see it as interference by the minister in the internal affairs of the apex body of cooperatives.
The matter refers to the continuation of Mohan Mishra as the Secretary of NCCT-the training arm of NCUI. According to Informed sources, the minister has asked for his continuation for what sources say satirically “for the sake of continued spying on NCUI”.
It does not augur well for the cooperative movement if you ignore the wishes of 99 percent of GC members on the issue, said one of the cooperators on condition of anonymity. “It also proves how helpless we are before the powerful
Ministry that we cannot remove a Babu even when what he does goes against the wishes of the board of NCUI which comprises of ace cooperators drawn from across the county”, he added.
Sources inform that NCUI President has already given in to the pressure and written to the Ministry recommending Mishra’s extension in his job-a goal for which Mishra lobbied hard and got it at long last. But undeniably this has sullied the reputation of the apex body, sighed a cooperator painfully.
Most members of the governing council Indian Cooperative talked to were livid at the development for they had insistently balked at his continuation on the job.
The main grouse of cooperators against him related to his “efforts” of weakening NCUI by snitching to the Ministry. Furthermore, it is common knowledge that Mishra has been active behind the scenes mounting a campaign to make NCCT a separate entity free from NCUI’s control.
CONTINUANCE OF SHRI M K MISHRA AS THE SECRETARY OF NCCT IS A WELCOME EVENT AND WILL PROVE A BOON FOR THE MAIN TRAINING BODY AS HE ENJOYS GOOD WILL OF NOT ONLY THE MINISTRY BUT ALSO TRUST OF NCCT TRAINING UNITS WHICH IS DOING YEOMAN SERVICE FOR THE COOPERATIVE SECTOR. HOPEFULLY HE WILL WORKD AS A STRONG BRIDGE AMONG MINISTRY OF AGRICULTURE, NCUI AND NCCT. NCUI THE FATHER FIGURE OF COOPERATIVE MOVEMENT IN THE COUNTRY WILL GIVE ITS BLESSINGS AND ABLE GUIDANCE TO SHRI MISHRA IN DISCHARGE OF HIS BIG RESPONSIBILITIES LADEN WITH MANY CHALLENGES AND HOPES OF THE EMPLOYEES AND THE USER ORGANISATIONS AS A VERY EXPERIENCED, HARD WORKING, EASILY APPROACHABLE AND DYNAMIC SECRETARY.
Totally ridiculous.
When there are so many complaints and charges against Mohan Mishra, the one who used the training body for his own business purposes, how the union minister takes such a bold move for his extension.
It is obvious that our government and constitution is weakened by such black sheeps
Not a single corruption charge has been levelled against Shri Mohan Mishra. The only charge against him is that he favours NCCT at all forums specially at Ministry of Agri. level. He wants a strong and efficient training structure for cooperative sector. He is opposed by some vested interests working at different training units specially some employees whose cases are in courts for permanency. They will be made regular once their court cases are over but they unnecessarily pin blame on secretary who is always pro employee.
Again Mohan Mishra Playing a game. Lot of allegation against Mohan Mishra and his business. It is true. The NCUI President is Powerless. The NCUI and NCCT are under the clutches of Mohan Mishra like Money lenders. Even the President is a MP, Chairman and political leader and has not any power to remove the Mishra. And the governing council members are also not having power to remove that man. That much game playing by Mohan Mishra. Again he will sit in the NCCT and showing game such as conducting conference, colloquium, workshop in five star hotels and calling Secretary of government and sponsoring and buttering in five star hotels for the vips. the same thing is doing for the last six years. Nothing have been done for NCCT and their Employees. For his self development only he is working in the NCCT. His Contribution is nothing for the NCCT during the last 6 years. Only the employees are suffering without promotion, and having salary etc.s
