NCUI: Transfer orders create muck

NCUI has transferred some senior officers on Wednesday – K N Sinha who was with Estate has been transferred to PR while Ashish Dwivedi has been brought to see the Estate; Deputy Director Ritesh Dey has been given additional charge of NCDB and Mrs Sandhay Kapoor has been given the additional charge of Estate.

Others who have been either shifted or asked to report to different Executive Directors included Hariprakash, Uday Pratap and R C Pandey. Talking to Indian Cooperative NCUI’s Chief Executive Dr Dinesh said that these are administrative matters and media should not poke its nose in these routine things.

Meanwhile, Indian Cooperative desk has received several mails accusing the Chief Executive of complicating things through his moody fiats. Shifting K N Sinha , for example, from Estate and bringing in Ashish Dwivedi instead got a lot of buzz in the NCUI corridors throughout the day.

“All of us have to work and it is the prerogative of the administrative head to use the manpower in the best possible manner; do not waste your energies on non-issues”, shot back Chief Executive when Indian Cooperative raised the issue of K N Sinha’s shifting.

Readers would note that the Estate department of the NCUI had come in for sharp criticism when a private vendor looted the apex body, allegedly with the connivance of some NCUI officials and a GC member. The Governing council had earlier taken serious view of the matter and wanted to punish the guilty. But how the whole thing got botched up is not clear yet.

There is nothing new about a few getting pleased and a few getting unhappy in the wake of transfer-posting orders. And they try to invoke the superior authority to reverse the orders. In this case also most mails point out at the lack of the role of President Dr Chandra Pal Singh Yadav in the matter and want him to interfere decisively to stem what they call “high-handedness of the Chief Executive”.
