NCUI President Chandra Pal Singh Yadav has not been stirring out of Delhi for the past one month due to his younger brother’s illness. His brother recently had a kidney transplant operation in All India Institute of Medical Sciences.

The operation has been successful as Yadav told Indian Cooperative “he has been discharged and is now recuperating at home; he is doing fine and I am feeling relieved.”

Yadav who used to return to Jhanshi by evening trains after attending cooperative meetings in Delhi in the past has stayed put in Delhi with his family in MP quarters in North Avenue.

He could go to Jhansi for a couple of days after his brother was discharged from the hospital this weekend but had to return to Delhi on Wednesday to attend the Kribhco Board meeting.

”But it does not mean that I am not attending cooperative functions. The only difference is that now I do so from Delhi and earlier I used to come from Jhansi,” Yadav stated.

Yadav recently visited Banglore for an NCCT programme where he mooted the idea of Rs 500 crore Corpus Fund for the cooperative training before the union agricultural Secretary.

His accessibility at NCUI these days has, however, made staff members happy as they are able to meet him and discuss issues at short notice. Earlier, they had to wait for his arrival from Jhansi.
